Bella Vita Organic stands as a shining example of how a small idea, deeply rooted in tradition, can evolve into a market-leading brand when driven by passion, vision, and execution.
The brand’s story begins in a humble salon in Gurgaon, run by Ashima Anand and her mother, Anju Anand. Rather than using chemical-laden, high-end salon products, the duo relied on homemade, natural remedies egg and curd masks for hair, herbal scrubs, and organic oils. Their clients were not only impressed by the results but also fell in love with the authenticity of the treatments. It wasn’t long before they started asking to take these natural formulations home.
Recognizing the rising demand and spotting an opportunity, Ashima’s brother, Akash Anand, decided to turn this homegrown idea into a full-fledged business. Inspired by the growing success of clean beauty brands like Mamaearth and WOW, Akash left his corporate job and launched Bella Vita Organic in 2018 as a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand.
The brand started small, with just four products including an under-eye cream and an eyebrow growth oil. But the promise of natural ingredients, affordability, and easy accessibility resonated with customers, especially across Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities. Bella Vita Organic quickly expanded into a wide range of skincare, haircare, body care, and fragrance products.
One of the major turning points for the brand was the launch of its perfumes especially the introduction of an innovative 10-perfume tester kit. This “try before you buy” approach became a customer favorite and helped propel the brand’s popularity.
In 2021, Bella Vita Organic received a major boost when Ananta Capital invested $10 million into the business. This funding was used to ramp up research and development, improve product offerings, and scale operations further.
Today, Bella Vita Organic offers over 62 products and has established a strong presence not only across India but in international markets as well. In just three years, the brand crossed ₹100 crore in revenue and is now aiming for a bold new milestone: ₹500 crore.
The journey of Bella Vita Organic is more than just a business success story it’s a testament to how authenticity, innovation, and relentless hard work can transform a modest idea into a household name in the beauty industry.
