There are stories that impress you, and then there are stories that stay with you. Radhika Gupta’s journey is the latter, a story of quiet strength, sharp intellect, and a heart determined to make finance feel human.
Born with a medical condition that caused a permanent tilt in her neck, Radhika once called herself “the girl with the broken neck.” But that label became her power. She didn’t hide her difference—she owned it. And in doing so, she gave thousands of people permission to embrace their own imperfections.
Radhika grew up across continents, from Nigeria to the U.S., because of her father’s job as an Indian diplomat. While her global upbringing gave her exposure, it also left her struggling with identity, self-esteem, and the pressure to always prove herself. But even in those early years, there was one thing she never let go of, her ambition.
She studied at the prestigious Wharton School, landing roles at McKinsey and AQR Capital, one of the most respected hedge funds in the world. But something was missing. At the age of 25, with a dream bigger than fear, she returned to India and co-founded Forefront Capital, a bold move in a market still skeptical of alternative investments.
In 2014, her startup was acquired by Edelweiss Financial Services, and just a few years later, Radhika did something no Indian woman had done before, she became the CEO of a major mutual fund house.
Today, as the MD & CEO of Edelweiss Asset Management Ltd., Radhika leads with vision and vulnerability. She believes investing shouldn’t be intimidating, it should be a tool for everyone, not just the rich or the financially literate. Under her leadership, Edelweiss introduced target maturity funds, ESG investing, and simplified passive options, making it easier for everyday Indians to grow their wealth.
But numbers aren’t all she’s focused on.
In 2025, she’s launching “InvestHer”, a project close to her heart. It’s not just a campaign, it’s a mission to bring millions of Indian women into the world of investing. From financial literacy workshops to tailor-made SIPs for homemakers and entrepreneurs, Radhika wants to build a world where women feel confident with their money, not fearful of it.
She’s also integrating AI-powered financial planning tools on Edelweiss’s platform, designed to simplify investing for Gen Z and young professionals. It’s high-tech meets high-touch, just like her own style.
Beyond boardrooms, Radhika is an author, TEDx speaker, and a constant voice of authenticity on social media. Her book “Limitless” is a heartfelt guide to leading with courage, even when you don’t have it all figured out.
What makes Radhika different isn’t just her position, it’s her perspective. She speaks openly about failure, vulnerability, and the pressure of perfection. She reminds us that leadership isn’t about being flawless. It’s about being real.In a world chasing success, Radhika Gupta teaches us the power of owning your story, tilts, scars, dreams, and all.
